An immigrant couple from Los Angeles was arrested by ICE agents in Oregon last week for transporting newly-arrived undocumented workers through California to the northwest. The couple, who drove a mini-van, was arrested along with the group of illegal immigrants they were transporting. While the couple had run a thriving transport business for arriving aliens, the downturn in the econonmy has caused them to let go of their employees and do the driving themselves. The purpose of the trip from Los Angeles was to deliver immigrants to Washington and Oregon, where they were to be met by family members.
